For us, it's the perfect and smartest solution!
Orca is our only chartplotter and we are thrilled with it! Installation couldn't have been easier and took place last spring. During our subsequent break, we enjoyed a little time off with the Orca system and our Bavaria 37, covering around 2000NM. From the Netherlands, across the North Sea, into the Baltic Sea to eastern Sweden and back. The charts cover far more than just Europe and have proven to be very accurate in all sailing areas. I only used Navionics' current data for planning purposes in tidal areas. Otherwise, I occasionally compared the sea depth, etc. with Navionics. However, my initial skepticism was quickly dispelled, and I always enjoyed the tidy and clear view provided by Orca Charts. Even more, it's brilliant to be able to adjust views, such as depth lines. This allows you to directly take into account unfavorable depths for routing and planning. The integration of AIS and many other NMEA/Seatalk-NG data or, as in our case, Seatalk1 instruments (with adapter) is amazingly simple and ingenious at the same time! Weather routing, polar diagrams, parallel use on MacOS and smartphones not only makes it smart to use, but also ensures safety and redundant usability. You can set your own views for the instrument panels on each device, just as you need them. Being able to operate the autopilot from anywhere is also brilliant. So many possibilities! The only downside is using it with our iPad Air in bright sunlight (heat build-up and insufficient nits) or during rain (despite the waterproof cover), which is no fun. We are therefore considering upgrading to an Orca display or similar this year. No problem, thanks to the easy integration!

Product ordered Feb 2nd…. 10 days later I have not received any email, order status, tracking number. Frankly service level are not in line with your glossy marketing.

I already have an older Garmin chartplotter, autopilot, AIS, etc. ORCA Core allows me to tie into the system with my iPad as a second display. In some ways it is superior to my dedicated plotter; able to get a GPS signal in one anchorage where the Garmin could not.
