Careers at Orca
Building systems boaters rely on
Orca builds a modern planning and navigation system that is used by recreational boaters worldwide. Our work spans software, hardware, data, and the physical world – where boaters' journeys and decisions are challenged by weather, currents, tides, and other navigational constraints. This sets a high bar for excellence.
We’re a small, senior team building products that boaters truly trust and rely on.

Where we are today
Orca is built on a simple idea: boaters deserve the same level of thoughtful and modern products that people experience everywhere else. That idea is already reflected in a forward-looking and modern product that is used by hundreds of thousands of boaters worldwide.
Orca delivers a flexible navigation system built on:
The Orca App – a modern planning and navigation experience for phones and tablets. It comes with charts, routing, and weather forecasts.
Orca Core – A smart navigation hub that transforms the Orca App into a powerful and accurate navigation system with instruments, autopilot control, and radar overlay.
Orca Display 2 – An ultrabright, purpose-made portable tablet built for demanding marine conditions. The optional Orca Mount turns the Orca Display 2 into a hands-free navigation experience.

Where we’re going
Orca is defining the modern way of boating, and we are rapidly growing towards becoming the go-to system for recreational boating.
We do this not by changing the parts that boaters love about their hobby, but by modernizing how information, data, and systems support every trip – from early planning to navigation and learning afterward. Boaters choose Orca because it makes boating easier, safer, and more fun.
How work happens at Orca
Work at Orca is defined by ownership, clarity, and responsibility.
Team members at own systems end-to-end and work with real-world constraints such as weather, connectivity, hardware, and integrations with other boat systems. At Orca, our decisions are evidence-based, trade-offs are explicit, and correctness matters deeply because boaters rely on Orca for active navigation support and decision-making.

Our teams are intentionally small and senior. Collaboration happens across disciplines, with an emphasis on shared context and forward-looking thinking. Progress is deliberate when reliability is at stake, and much of our learning comes directly from real-world use and feedback.
You’ll find us planning together, building and testing hardware, reviewing systems, sharing meals, and occasionally spending time on the water.

Orca is built with a strong emphasis on product quality, operational discipline, and long-term reliability – we are building a team and products that are designed to last.
