Spots help you remember your favorite locations. Save and categorize them with just a few taps. Cloud synchronization makes them instantly appear on all your devices.

Spots are shown as blue circles in the chart, as shown in the image below.
Save a Spot
To save a spot, long press in the chart at the location of choice, and press Save in the menu that appears.
The spot now is saved to your list of spots. Spots are personal and visible only to you.
A new spot is named Saved Spot and assigned the star icon by default. You can change this – more on that in the next section. The video below shows you how to save a Spot.
Spots are automatically synchronized when your device is connected to the internet. This allows you to save spots at home on your mobile device, and view those spots on your Orca Display or other devices when you get to the boat.
Edit a Spot
Edit your Spot to better categorize it.
First, select a Spot on the map, and press Edit in the bottom menu. From the Edit Screen, you can change its name, location and assign it a new category.
The available categories are:
Star - default selection for saved spots
Anchor - useful to store your favorite anchor locations
Dive - useful to keep track of your favorite diving locations
Fish - Never forget where you found fish. Select this one for saving your fishing locations
Mooring - useful to save a suitable mooring location
Danger - keep track of dangers that are not part of the official cartography
Home - this is a special type of spot, more on that in the next section

Setting your Home Harbor
The Home category is a special type of spot, which marks where your home harbor is.
If you mark a spot as your Home, the Orca will automatically use the Home harbor as your starting point for routes when Orca detects that you are on land. When you are at sea, your current location will be used as a starting point for routes.
If you assign multiple home harbors, Orca will use the nearest one as the starting point for new routes. The video below shows you how to assign the Home Harbor category to a Spot.
